Acorns and Catkins The Foundation Unit 2009/2010  Welcome to South View! Our focus this term is mainly to make sure all the children feel settled and secure in their new setting. The children will be getting to know all our rules and routines, making new friends and learning where everything is. There is a lot for the children to take in when starting school Below are some photographs of how the unit looked as the children came in for their first morning.   Term 1     Our theme for term one is "Our Crowland" We will be looking at, and thinking about, what makes Crowland special, the buildings, our homes and what Autumn is like in Crowland. We will also be visiting Bourne Woods as part of our exploration of seasonal changes and take part in the Harvest festival, which is based on the story of 'The Selfish Crocodile' and sharing.
